Bachata Courses
Bachata is a joyful and easy to learn dance from the Dominican Republic.
Perfect for beginners as well as experienced dancers who want to expand their range.
In our weekly classes you will not only learn how to dance Bachata Dominicana (e.g. steps and figures).
We also support you in becoming a confident and happy dancer. Learn to move your body, connect with a dance partner, listen to the music and develop your personal style.
Class Structure
Each class starts with dancing solo. Here we focus on developing your bodymovement, footwork, styling and musical understanding.
We then partner up and learn different elements (e.g. steps, turns, rotations) and how to combine and apply them in social dancing.
Languages: German & English
Rotation, Leading & Following
We rotate during the class so you can join us with or without a dance partner. You can also decide whether you want to lead or follow.

Your Dominican Bachata Teacher
About: Ilona is a ...
- Certified Dominican Bachata Teacher by the international artists Bhavin & Soonruta. She regularly attends various Dominican Bachata festivals for further training.
- passionate dancer since the age of 5, who (after dancing Salsa and Bachata for more then a decade) fell in love with Bachata from the Dominican Repulic. She has been hooked ever since.
- full-time personnel developer and uses a special teaching concept to accompany her students on their dance journey in the best possible way.
- experienced follower & leader, who enjoys the freedom that comes with dancing both roles.
Enter the building of the Ammer Areal at the door 70/1 and go to the second floor where you enter the dance school "projectDance". We are in the left room "L".
Free parking in front of the building, when you drive into the courtyard. You can park on the spaces with "Reserviert" and after 7:30 pm also on those with the "PP.rt" sign.
Bus stops "Uhlandstraße", "Albstraße" and "Am Echazufer" are right next to the building.
